April 20, 2014 - Garnet with only a hint of bricking. Lots of tearing. Plums and tertiary notes on the nose. Opened 2.5 hours before all the bottle funk blew off. Resolved tannins still present. Plums, dark berries, and a touch of dirt. Nice long finish. Peak now, but doesn't hint at a rapid decline.
September 1, 2012 - Subtle, orange-tinted, smooth, medium bodied, notes of must and stew.
August 26, 2012 - The cork was a bit dry but the wine was in good condition. This could have been mistaken for an aged California Cab or Right-Bank Bordeaux. Tasted blind, no one pegged it as Chilean. Well balanced with beautiful aromas of tobacco and mushrooms. I would not keep it longer than a couple more years. Double decant.
December 19, 2011 - What NY Wino said. Very pleasant
October 4, 2011 - Decanted and drank over 2 hour period. Rust colored, slightly dry tannins with decent earthiness but a bit lacking in fruit.
September 29, 2011 - Aerated and decanted. Elegant, restrained fruit, spice, vanilla, and earth flavors with ample tannins.
September 11, 2011 - Toasted oak, spice, vanilla, caramel and earth flavor with plentiful tannins. The fruit has faded to the background.
August 14, 2011 - Upon opening somewhat funky. Evolved to a bordeaux - St. Julian - style with ample dusty tannins.
December 24, 2010 - Rich, full-flavored, cherry, plum, mocha, cinnamon, earth and more. Thick with flavor, but still well-balanced and not over-the-top.
April 16, 2010 - I don't think I'd hang on to this one much longer. It's well made but it's showing signs of its age. Significant bricking and the tannins seem to be at the end of their life span. It's a nice aged wine but was a bit soft for my taste. Full of dark fruit, cassis and leather. Really enjoyable but I'd wished I'd opened it a bit sooner.
