November 17, 2023 - Drank alongside the 2014 Wight. This was a little light a green upon opening, but opened up quickly. Good color (no bricking), nice fruit, and a lot of acid. Great value, but a bit thin when compared to the Wight. Still, really, a nice wine.

    Tasted non blind.

Dark garnet color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of soapstone, flowers, currants, red fruits and a dash of white pepper. Flavors of red currents, raspberries and cherries. Medium to bright acidity, medium to firm tannin, full bodied. Drink or hold.

September 14, 2022 - Decent but not memorable. Dark fruit with some cherry on nose. A bit sour on finish - a little cedar bark? White Pepper on finish

June 3, 2022 - Opened, poured and let sit about 1/2 hr. Then: Slight nose of reddish-darkish fruit. Some warmth on the first few sips, with some heat on the finish. Tannins noticeable, but not a problem or distraction. Mostly reddish fruit. After about 1/2 hr from first sip, this mellows/softens a bit and the warmth/heat is not an issue. By the end of the glass this is drinking nicely, but lacking classic cab profile. Feels/tastes like something could be there with more time in the bottle. I'll try my next one in 2023.`

April 22, 2022 - Right out of the bottle the wine was a little backwards and needed 30 minutes to open up. After two hours (not decanted) there’s old red fruit, leather, espresso and tobacco on the nose.

The wine is very fruit dominant on the palate with faint tannins that indicate it’s time to drink up for our taste.

November 28, 2021 - Very herbal in the home but better and more structured the second night.

September 4, 2021 - Slow ox ~3 hrs in the bottle. Earthy notes in the nose accompanied by dark fruit and sweet, aged wood. Flavors are well-balanced but slightly tilted towards red fruit, thinking raspberries and watery blackberries; tannins are wet wet and dry and wet and and pour mmmnmmpresent but soft and silky smooth.

Seems like nearly ideal timing for this vintage of their Napa cab.
