August 20, 2019 - Continues to drink very well after a two hour decant. Excellent balance.

December 25, 2018 - This appears to need more time or a decant. Very tight on PnP. After about an hour in the glass, reticent but pure dark berry fruits seemed to emerge with enough acidity to carry it through. The finish is youthful, with a load of bitter tannin, earthiness, and some alcoholic astringency. Some pleasure today, but I'm hoping this will come around. Open the last bottle of 2 purchased in 2-3 years.

November 28, 2018 - The nose was dark and complex, opening with a whiff of moist black soil tones and animal musk, which were quickly complicated by herbal notes of rosemary, mint, and bay, as balsamic-spiced black cherry emerged from within. On the palate, a wave of silky textures were ushered across the senses by zesty acidity, along with tart-tart raspberry fruit, savory herbs, minerals and hints of grippy tannin which seemed to saturate everything they touched. The finish was long, tart, and tannic, yet still lively and fresh as brisk acidity lingered, keeping the wines raspberry and cherry tones front and center. This was a tremendous performance, and another step up from the last tasting. Wow.

August 3, 2018 - Excellent after a one hour decant. Earth, herbs, and underbrush notes on a feisty nose and entry. Excellent balance. Great fruit on the palate, in balance, clean finish. The Carignane prevents the Grenache notes from dominating, a nice balance. A wine of vibrant personality. has time left but is drinking very well right now. Bats above its price point.

July 10, 2018 - The nose showed a mix of blackberry and spiced cherry, with mint leaf, dark soil tones and stone dust. On the palate, I found silky textures offset by tart raspberry tones with balsamic spice and minerals, as a concentration of tart red fruit seemed to coat the senses, leaving hints of tannin and sweet spice to linger. The finish was long and spicy with remnants of savory herbs and balsamics. This is simply gorgeous, especially at this price point.
