February 10, 2019 - I bought this a year ago looking for a decent $40 Pinot because I had been a long time mailing list customer of Kosta Browne (since 2003 vintage) but the QPR lately has been challenging, especially adding shipping from CA to CT.
This wine was really solid, start to finish. Typical light bodied color for a Pinot and the nose was spot on with this varietal, with spicy notes on top of dark red fruit. Smooth on the palate with a medium finish that paired perfect with honey-mustard glazed salmon.
Another exciting note is that I did a Coravin tasting when I bought this a year ago about 4-5 ounces and left the bottle in the cellar since then. In my recollection it hasn't lost anything from the initial tasting so the argon preservation used by Coravin seems to work very well even after a year.

February 9, 2019 - Prior bottle was almost a year ago and this wine remains in a very good spot. Nose was virtually identical with black raspberry, blackberry and vanilla notes. Medium bodied with rounded and expressive black cherry and black raspberry upfront and through the middle. Gains depth right towards the back and then almost immediately brings in tart notes of blackberry, cranberry and tart cherry. Spices, mineral notes and oak/vanilla on the finish. Overall, I would say the flavor profile is virtually unchanged, but the integration of the oak and spice notes with the fruit is better and the transition to the finish showed better balance as well as contrasts. This is drinking very well now, but should continue to improve along these lines over at least the next year or so with several additional years at a very high level beyond. With one bottle left, I will probably save it for Q2 2020.

January 30, 2019 - Pop and pour. Notes of cherry/strawberry with a touch of cranberry as well. Excellent mouthfeel and balance. Drinking well now, but no real hurry.

February 23, 2018 - Prior bottle was almost 11 months ago and this wine has lived up to my expectations, justifying the score I originally gave it. Nose remains pretty much the same with a mix of black raspberry and blackberry, coupled with a sizable amount of oak/vanilla. More medium bodied than previously and while it only needed about 2 hours to open up, it was drunk over 4 and showed better the more time it was given. Fruit profile is identical with black cherry and black raspberry, mixed with blackberry and background red fruit hints. Spices, light mineral and creamy vanilla/oak mark the finish. While I didn't pick up additional qualities in this bottle, it felt like integration and balance had improved and the elements had come together much more harmoniously this time around. Where previously, the oak/vanilla and spices notes showed a bit more than I might have liked, this time around, they were much more in balance with the fruit. There were no rough edges, no harshness, and no elements that stuck out oddly. I expect this wine to continue to improve along these lines and I'll try my next bottle in early 2019. I was originally on the fence, but I'm fully convinced now that I should also purchase the 2015 vintage of this wine.

December 26, 2017 - Very enjoyable Pinot from a newer winery, in their second vintage. This is a fuller-bodied, bigger-fruited style Pinot. New world, certainly, but it retains the earthy minerals and gentle black pepper for balance we look for in Pinot. My father-in-law who enjoys big fruit commented "Most Pinots are very light, but this was a really fruity one!" This is a good thing for him.

This was the red wine of the night, preceding all manner of great wines, and following a couple of champaigns. I was concerned I didn't pick the right Pinot here, but it worked perfectly.

A sensational deal, and will be happy to buy more if I come across it.
