Community Tasting Notes 12

March 9, 2022 - Pop and pour. Still entirely primary, but so enjoyable. No signs of oxidation on Day 3 open (unrefrigerated on the counter). The earth, cocoa, wild strawberry and soft game on the nose are just so enrapturing.

September 30, 2020 - Months into....distancing, and I find myself seeking bottles that "just taste good." No complications, no pretense, and pleasure. When I smelled this, it did the job. On the nose: soft oak, plum, brambles, musk. On the palate, good acidity, more plum and cranberry, good density and soft tannin on the finish. Totally solid and very enjoyable.

March 3, 2020 - This seemed very flat and thin. Neither fruit og power, and I seriously doubt that this will improve with age. Was very disappointed with this considering the rather warm vintage.

November 6, 2018 - Seems better tonight. This rating seems to disagree with my previous notes. Let me just say that ii is hard to go wrong with most 2015 burgundy.

July 25, 2018 - Oak on the nose. Palate thin on fruit for this opulent vintage. Good acidity. Perhaps my expectations were too high. Expected more concentration.
