April 19, 2023 - Served a bit cool. Silky texture, but somewhat simple on the palate. Didn't sing.

February 24, 2023 - Still pretty youthful and lactic, dark fruits with blackberry and black cherry, some fat spice on the nose. To the larger end of the scale in body, but really, really nice. I liked this more than the 19

December 26, 2022 - Pureté du fruit. Délice tout simplement

November 13, 2022 - Pale garnet. Pronounced. Strawberry, raspberry, mirto liqueur. Wood and vanilla, earth. Nutmeg hints. Dried fruit, fresh tobacco. Hints of prune. Med+ acidity & tannin, firm. 13% abv. Mec body. Long, slightly bitter finish.

Not worth the £98,40 I paid at Hedonism IMHO. Today worth £150!

    NB:
Jean-Marie Fourrier believes in a light hand in the vinification and this is pretty clear when one taste the different cuvées at the estate. Only around 20% new oak is used – i.e. very far from the 100% new oak used by Jayer (his mentor). No whole cluster grapes are used aside from some experiments back in the mid 1990s. Not hard and dark wines here.

September 2, 2022 - Blind. Decanted and shaken. Resolved, compact fruit, bright, zesty, spice. Evidently Gevrey but hard to place the producer, especially as it misses the metallic reduction typically found if poured out of the bottle. Mortet Gevrey Mes Cinq Terroirs 2015? Very enjoyable. 92
