August 27, 2021 - Bummer. Last one. Quite lovely.
April 26, 2021 - @BIg Ted Red is spot on. This was awesome!
October 15, 2020 - Best US Tempranillo I’ve had, admittedly not a huge number. Compared to a typical Ribera del Duero, let alone a Rioja, much juicier- no surprise. Relieved I have more of these. Eight years from vintage, perfectly balanced and at cruising altitude. Had it with wife’s fantastic mushroom lasagna. Unforgettable combo!
June 9, 2020 - Had the last one 14 months ago. Fresh grapes and bold. Well done, Jamie.
April 13, 2020 - Solid
July 4, 2019 - Color: garnet with a bit of bricking
Nose: cherry tobacco spice
Taste: black cherry, white pepper, tobacco, nutmeg
This is a lovely wine in a nice place right now. Nice round wine with integrated flavors and a medium, mid palate finish. The QPR is outstanding. Easy to enjoy.
May 17, 2019 - Really nice expression of new world Tempranillo. Strong red berry aromas and flavors accented with cedar, earth, and tobacco. Also some spice. Also a bit of oak. Medium to strong tannins. Definitely needs some air.
April 10, 2019 - Last bottle was 7 months ago. Still right up there in your face with a bold hit. I like it best the next day or two.
September 23, 2018 - My, my.
June 15, 2018 - This is just CRAZY good. Drank a bit immediately: LUCIOUS. As the hour went on, it just got better. Vac'd it to hold for a day 2 test. No change. Wow. So I called the winery and bought the LAST case. Sorry!
