December 25, 2023 - Typical Spring Mtn Cab, big dark fruit up, firm tannins & medium finish. Needed some time to integrate but drank quite well after an hour decant.

November 15, 2023 - Still a big mountain fruit forward wine, dark fruit dominates, edgy tannins still could use more time to mature. Needs some decant time to come together.

June 30, 2021 - Softened tannins and black fruit as expected. A touch of petrol on the nose initially. Not as much opulent, rich fruit on the nose as I seem to remember from Schweiger cabs normally. Not sure if that was because of the age or because I Coravinned it and decanted in the glass rather than opening the whole bottle and using a decanter like I normally do. Still, a solid, approachable cab that has enough structure to be interesting but not so much that it dries out your mouth.

July 26, 2020 - From recent dinner (memory): Leather, dark dry fruit, medium tannins, very good with grilled steak. Stood well out from the crowd, even for an avowed Pinot guy like me.

August 18, 2019 - Decanted for an hour, and bottle had a strange nose, almost like a funky Southern Rhone. Tasted ok, but couldn't get over the nose. Blew off a bit by day 2, but still noticeable. Maybe a bad bottle? Loved the '12 I had a month earlier so holding out hope as I have 3 more. Will wait a year on the next one.

November 20, 2018 - Great color, the bottle opened nicely over the course of 2 hours. Nice tannins on the finish, with lots of dark red fruit in the front.
