February 16, 2023 - Starts off very ripe with a strong bouquet of sweet bread.
Bubbles are medium to fine but still showing well and go down very smoothly. Strong flavours of ripe apple, slightly caramel butter, subtle bitterness.
Very long bitter sweet aftertaste which might really show a bit the overdue state.
Giving it a bit more time to breath it really opens up and becomes absolutely delicious. The bitterness is gone and despite the warm and subpar vintage it really shows deliciously juicy and unexpectedly sour.
Great bottle. Drinking these too early really doesnt do them justice otherwise. -
