December 3, 2023 - Held up well after being pivoted, had with a beef soup, on the lighter side for Zinfandel but has good complexity and balance. Otherwise similar to previous recent notes

November 7, 2023 - Dark red, menthol, savory soy, cedar and dark fruits on the nose, on the palate there is red and black fruit, big but not too big, nice acidity, with a long tart finish.

June 25, 2023 - This bottle was opened, a glass poured out, and then let to sit for an hour before tasti8ng.
    Dark purple color.
Nose offers dark fruits and some black pepper notes. Hint of tobacco and earth.
Nice fruit but with a tart almost bitter note on the initial taste and then opens up to show the dark fruit. Blueberries and blackberries with a peppery note on the finish.
The tart element was a bit of a distraction, unfortunately.

June 2, 2022 - In a great spot- it's a real mix of red and blue fruits. Tannins are really soft and there is a good tension to this wine. This wine would please a lot of crowds as it is super easy to drink and the fruit is excellent. Glad I sat on a few and waited to open

April 15, 2022 - Purple in color. 14.5% ABV. Brooding nose of red and black fruits, plums and cocoa. Medium body with medium acidity. Claret style Zinfandel with primary fruits and great balance. Soft and approachable. Black cherry, blackberry, anise and pepper on the palate. Tremendous length on the finish. Old school Zinfandel that will likely age well but there is a lot to like here right now. Best over the next 2-4 years.

February 4, 2022 - 2015 Pagani Bedrock & Ridge; 2/4/2022-2/5/2022 (At the house of dear friends): Excellent! Last tasted this wine in November of 2018. At that time I suggested that it needed patience - either a long decant or let it sit in the bottle for a while. 3+ years in the bottle since then has been very beneficial for this wine! Tonight it was decanted for 1.5 hours.

The first sip was a bit tart, it had a bite to it, but that mellowed out pretty quickly. What impressed us was the range and depth of flavors. Musical metaphor: This wine was an ensemble of a variety of instruments all combining to create a beautifully balanced performance. It had lots of different layers: dark berries, some brighter red berries, a sense of spiciness, just a lot of wonderful things going on!
