March 18, 2020 - Drunk from a magnum at Christmas. Really at its prime now - decanted for an hour just because. I suspect bottles are past it, but the magnum was beautiful. Lots of secondary notes, went down really well with roast turkey for Christmas dinner.
    One last bottle to go

February 24, 2020 - Nicely balanced with great freshness and acidity. A huge contrast next to the Alban Reva and Amon Ra which were much more black-fruit driven. Red fruit with sour cherries and roses. Very elegant.

February 19, 2020 - I might rate this wine higher on my next tasting but this was a stunner and such good value at the price point. Decanted and aerated for 90 minutes which is what the wine needed to open up. Nose of red and black fruits, meat, spices, olive tapenade. On the palate very rich, starts slowly and builds up in complexity to reflect an awesome structure, nice complexity and balance. Medium to full bodied, this deep ruby colored wine finishes long with tannins fully integrated and ripe. This wine is mature and ready for business

February 18, 2020 - Olives, red fruit, mushrooms, blood orange, and savory notes on the nose. Good acidity, integrated tannins, red berries, and thyme on the palate. Long, lingering finish. Tasted side-by-side with the 99 and while both were good, they were quite different and I preferred the 98 (brighter, more nuanced).

January 27, 2020 - Dinner with blind tasting of Syrahs (Fonsalette Syrah, Bionic Frog, Ares, Alban, Saxum, L'Ermite, Ex Voto, La Landonne) this was a standout, Majority WOTN. Extraordinary complexity, elegance coupled with power, cherry, dark fruits, pepper, leather, spice, integrated tannins, long finish

January 14, 2020 - Matured nicely and I think in a good drinking point (I don't think it will improve with age.) Agree with other recent notes.

November 23, 2019 - Red cherry and strawberry and some beautiful mature oak and stable. The acidity is still fresh and make the wine wonderfully refreshing

November 22, 2019 - Tannins are quite soft, red fruit is ample and showing secondary development. Improves substantially with air, the initial funkiness on the nose is replaced by fruits and enticing spices.
