  June 19, 2021 - PHMG WAG: Two Shots and a Vertical Tasting (Lyon Quarantine Site): Best QPR of the reds this night. Creme de cassis, black cherry, plum, cigar and eucalyptus linger nicely on a firm structure. Now-2029.

  March 19, 2021 - Powerful nose of dark fruits, dense smoke, and toasted oak. Black cherry and tart red cherry fruit with red licorice and plum that quickly slams into mouth-puckering tannins, grainy earth, red cherry, sour cranberry notes, with some sandy notes settling over the long tannin tang. Too extracted for our taste.

  February 20, 2020 - This is a really good wine for the money, but not showing as nicely as it did at an earlier point in its evolvement. Good wine, and very much in line with what has been stated about it already, just lacking the youthful energy right now (see prior notes). I look forward to tasting some of the newly released cabs on my next visit to Envy.
