March 21, 2020 - Acquired via Auction: Clear deep intense purple opaque core with minimal fading at the rim. Healthy nose and after 3-hr decant the nose was extremely intense (could smell from across room). Aromas of Tar, Coffee, and Jam. Dry wine with good acidity and tannin. Berry, chocolate and cedar on palate. Full body with long finish of berry moving to chocolate and coffee. This is a high quality wine, likely from a small to mid-size producer, that does not show its age. Can likely benefit from additional aging of 5+ years.

October 18, 2019 - Medium garnet in the glass. Fully-developed nose showing notes of wet forest floor, Earl Grey tea, dried fig, dried cranberry, bit of cedar, nutmeg and shaved dark chocolate. No primary notes whatsoever on this. Medium-bodied, already shooting over its prime. Don't decant this or it's going to fall apart all the way. Still has a nice grip, but definitely not going anywhere. Drink up.

January 28, 2014 - Burnt rubber, red berries, not as opulent as other RR, still needs a decade more...

May 10, 2008 - Scott M. Dinner Party (Home): Full deep black red color. Big nose of blueberry and chocolate. Nice ripe blueberry fruit on the palate. Good concentration, but a bit much for my taste.

November 16, 2004 - 1996 Greenock Creek Roennfeldt Road Shiraz, Barossa, Australia
Dark red. Scents of licorice, ink and tar coming out of the glass. I have raved about this wine before and it was every bit as good as on my two previous tries with it. Incredibly dense and with gobs and gobs of sweet ripe fruit with a fresh and complex delivery. This is simply a stunning wine with tremendous purity and punch yet not like being knocked out by Mike Tyson. Loved this wine!!
