February 10, 2024 - Light golden color way too young. Opened and aerated in bottle for 45 minutes and drank over an hour side by side to a 1996 Puligny-Montrachet Les Combettes by Robert Ampeau. High acidity but gains weight with aeration, fennel, citrus fruits, that perfumed jasmin style minerality, with an expansive and fat finish. I would wait ten years for this.

February 3, 2024 - Fantastic. Focused and defined, with a little flint note on the nose. Surprised how defined this is despite is on a solar year. Golden fruit. Fine palate that is quite narrow but a very lengthy finish adding a chalky mineral note.

October 6, 2023 - This changed with air, showing what can happen as wine sits in the glass. It gained complexity with air, shedding off some of the richness and picking up some structure that was most noticeable in the wine's finish. Flint, melon and a decent kick of citrus, a lemony note. Later the green apple and flint become more dominant. My conclusion is that if you open and work through this now, and if it's consumed too quickly, you'll miss the structure and potential of the wine that is lurking underneath. The air reveals these very well, and I bet this lives a long time. A treat to drink this, thank you, Dave.

March 24, 2022 - Very classy, although a bit reserved. While displaying energy, this felt tightly wound with its mineral character dominating. Also notes of lemon and white stone fruit. Well balanced, with a moderately long finish. Paired well with a variety of dishes, especially the lobster bisque, breaded frog legs in garlic cream sauce and clams. There is a lot here, but I wish I had decanted and given this serious air. I suspect this will be much more interesting in 3-5 years.

October 15, 2021 - This was utterly delightful. At first glance, a pale green color suggests it is a few years younger. The nose has some toasted oak, richness, and river stone. A faint hint of reduction that blows away. I guessed 19 Dauvissat 1ere blind, but truly this had more richness, and a back-palate acidity that was
Reassuring for the vintage. Not the faintest hint of oxidation. I wish I had a case!
