August 18, 2010 - plums, cherries, medium bodied, faint finish - past its prime - died on day two
February 7, 2010 - medium garnet. Nose was of a medium weight aged Bordeaux with spices and seasoned salt/tobacco. Taste was on the thinner side, nothing out of sorts, just needs a little more of it.
January 22, 2009 - Corked! With Mike Friedman
December 25, 2008 - Christmas Dinner 2008 (Jen, Sue, Rex, Deni, Linda & I): Dark fruit and chocolate flavors. Very good.
December 5, 2008 - Welcome back from Thailand for Jen: Lovely dark fruit and chocolate flavors. Very silky and smooth finish.
We had this with lamb. Would have been delicious with duck, too!
June 18, 2008 - With Emily Bartels, Jen and I at Princeton with slow-roasted duck: Lovely, perfumed nose. Silky finish, flowers and some cherry on the finish. A very good wine: better with our duck and potatoes.
April 17, 2008 - What a surprise for this 10-year old bottle! A lovely nose of fruit and lots of chocolate taste with dark fruit and a silky finish.
For a wine that Parker predicted would be done by 2002 ... it was a great surprise. Delicious with our chicken and even on its own.
I bought the remaining bottles (for $25/each) the next day.
