    February 5, 2024 - Loved this. however still so young.Wonderful velvety texture and very fine tannins and gorgeous red fruit. deceptively big.
    Only complaint was it had a strong nose of reduction maybe, possibly even ever so slightly corked ?

    August 19, 2023 - In the garden of Clos de sens in annecy le vieux. Deep purple color. Pairing with a young lamb from the BBQ. Ash, red cherries, cream, black pepper, mushroom and wet forest floor on the nose. Med acidity, med body, med alcohol, med flavor intensity, dry tannins, med+ finish. Creamy mouth, nice green and gripping tannins, sweet cherry fruit, vanilla, white pepper, a bit of milk chocolate. This will evolve and still young. Rather excellent already. Happy to have shared this moment with seb, Verane and Ma femme.

    January 1, 2023 - Decanted three hours. Smooth, creamy, extremely elegant, almost feminine in its seemless harmony. It's a Burgundy-lovers Côte-Rôtie, still too young to show real terroir, but with with plenty of concentration too keep for many years.

    November 12, 2022 - As expected, this is as good a young Jamet CR as I've ever tasted. Still coiled at this point but the texture is already gorgeous and the wine is so lifted and perfectly balanced with stunning flavors of road tar, violet-spice, campfire embers and crushed stones percolating just under the surface. A full-bodied version of Jamet and an absolute classic in the making. Out of magnum. 95+

    November 10, 2022 - "The mind is willing, but the flesh is weak" (Chicago, IL): I think others were more down on this than I was. Certainly it's very ripe and almost a bit sweet (someone described it as Harlan-like). In the glass, this settles down a fair bit with air, but mostly this is a wine about the potential now rather than current enjoyability. Massively scaled with a slight leathery element and lots of black fruit. Obviously tons of young tannin. Best to tuck these away and let them rest; it seems quite unprofitable to open one now.

    October 8, 2022 - No formal note here. It certainly delivered but needs for time in bottle. Very clean and polished which surprised me. Also drank next to 13 Bionic Frog that it destroyed.

    October 8, 2022 - Perched exactly between power and elegance, this is simply stunning. Layers of lusciously-textured, perfectly ripe, dark red fruits, thyme, smoke, incense, and cocoa take over your palate and expand while they linger in the finish. Drink from 2022-2045.

    September 3, 2022 - No notes taken. Medium expressive only, still a bit tight and over the two hours we followed the wine it never fully opened up. Dense, dark, with lots of ripe but not too ripe fruit dominating the picture and herbs, bitter chocolate, minerality, olives and spices in the faint background. The tannins are fine and of highest quality but the wine will need lots of time in the cellar to flesh out and become light and fully elegant. More promising than fully good today and it paled a bit in comparison to the Gonon 2015 in the next glass which showed much more layered, elegant and weightless.

    Decanting: This needs a few hours of air.
