January 16, 2022 - The Tommasi Amarone is a blend of 50% Corvina, 30% Corvinone, 15% Rondinella and 5% Oseleta. The colour is really dark with purple on the edges. There are dark fruits, plums, christmas spices and also notes of tobacco or leather. The wine is really powerful but not over the top. A good Amarone with a really nice QPR.

January 7, 2022 - A well balanced wine with rich flavour of chocolate, dark raisin and deep fruit, mild acidic tastes and held a medium finish that would be enjoyable with several different foods. Medium legs with a lovely garnet colour and a rich berry aroma that was enticing. Worth trying another bottle to compare.

December 10, 2020 - Dark color. Classic Amarone dried raisin nose and taste. Medium body. Starts out strong, fades mid palate and finishes lighter. A good drinking Amarone but nothing Earth shattering here. A good but not great wine.

November 16, 2020 - Full-bodied red, beautiful aromas of blackberry, plum, spice, dried herbs, coffee, some sweet hint, and liquorice follow with silky and polished tannins. Enjoy it much!

October 10, 2020 - Drank over dinner with gnocchi al Gorgonzola. Nose not standing out, but the palate reveals red berries and violets with long finish and muscular tannins that are not overpowering. Definitely a very good textbook Amarone - recommenced.

July 12, 2020 - Good colour; exuberant, morello cherries, splendid; power-packed, gutsy, full bodied; will hold but why bother? The real deal.

April 12, 2020 - Translucent ruby in color. Black raspberry, plums, & cherry cola. Just the slightest bit of dried herbs, smoke, pepper and dust wrapped around a core of orange peel acidity. Pretty straightforward to be honest but very enjoyable and easy drinking. Full bodied, but hides its alcohol well. 50% Corvina, 15% Corvinone, 30% Rondinella, 5% Oseleta. Aged 3 years in large 35-hectoliter Slavonian oak casks, followed by one year in bottle. 6 g/l RS. Drink over the next 7-8 years.

April 7, 2020 - Purple with some browning on the edges. Notes of xmas cake, ginger, cinnamon and stewed berries. A medium-bodied, soft palate with fine and slightly dusty tannin, quite unctuous and fleshy. Good entry-level Amarone; does the basics well.
