November 25, 2013 - 1993 Double Blind Horizontal (Chris'): Double blind. Ruby. Lifted aromatics show some power with black cherry and herbs. Palate has plenty of life with good red fruit and grip. Nice but not overly complex.

November 25, 2013 - Double Blind 1993s From Around the World (Hughes House - Chicago IL): Tasted double blind in what turned out to be a flight of 1993s. All black fruit with lots of new oak spice in the forefront. Forward fruit on palate with oak better integrated than it was aromatically. Tannins and acid are a bit too prominent right now.

February 12, 2010 - Very good black cherry and spice aromas. Similar black cherry and blackberry on palate, showing some unresolved new oak. Fruit is still fresh enough (plus enough acid) that you can wait longer for this to come into better balance.

February 12, 2010 - Wineflock - Quilceda Creek Intro/Retro (Home): Nice rich red cherry fruit here with a healthy dose of toasty oak. Still a little tight, but starting to drink. I wonder if the oak will mellow/integrate with more time? Low 90s.
