February 28, 2021 - Very smooth, dry, soft, slight jam. Nice lush fruit. Paired well with Rigatoni with Porcini mushroom sauce. Good value.
January 23, 2021 - Final bottle of the 2014 vintage, a bit harsh even after decanting. Developed (balanced) slightly better on second day / evening. Anticipating the 2016 vintage.
August 6, 2020 - Smooth, full, round and dry - the everyday tuscan which is somehow just a little bit too good. Still some time to go - better on the second day - will hold.
November 9, 2018 - Deep dark purple. Smooth taste. Medium fruit forward. Good every day wine. Slight jam. Pepper on the end fades.
July 28, 2018 - Has nice opulent and a bit four square blackberry and vanilla depth with good layering and freshness. Ends mediumish and tapering. 13%. This had two hours aeration. Maybe it could have benefitted from more time. Lay down for a couple of years and wait and see. This is quite serious.
November 24, 2017 - The nose is sweet with a note of baking chocolate. Black cherry and tart currant carry chewy, leathery tannins. White pepper and baking spices are followed by a hint of cigar box on the medium finish. Give this one another year or two. It's aging gracefully.
September 29, 2017 - This hasn’t quite come together balance wise. Uninspired to take the next sip. Maybe better in 2 years.
March 12, 2017 - Enjoyed this @Eataly in Boston. A nice table wine that went well with our meats, cheeses, bread and other goodies. Balanced front to back and not overly complex.
January 14, 2017 - Nice but doesn't bring back memories of the Chianti area.
November 30, 2016 - Very solid, lots of currant and other Bordeaux varietal character, decent depth and richness; good.
