May 25, 2023 - Prior bottle was 14 months ago and this wine remains in a very good spot. White apple, peach and pear on the nose with a flinty, mineral-driven background. Medium bodied with white apple and white peach upfront, interwoven with white pear which provides excellent contrast. More rounded yellow apple and white/yellow peach through the middle, backed by nicely tart lemon with acidity and minerals through the finish. The acidity and tart notes work really well with the fruit profile. This wine is holding up exceptionally well and in a fashion that it should be able to maintain for at least another couple of years, potentially longer.

March 3, 2022 - Prior bottle was almost a year ago and this wine remains in a good spot. White apple and white peach on the nose with pear in the background. Medium bodied with the same combination of more rounded white apple and slightly more tart white pear upfront. Mid-body continues to add white peach with some yellow peach qualities behind. Soft lemon, acidity and some mineral notes on the backside. While the back and the finish are still in good shape, the notes aren't as clean as before, but the acidity is better integrated. There is a real roundness and expressiveness towards the back that wasn't there previously that also helps make the transition work. Based on these notes, drink by 2023 continues to seem realistic and I'll plan to open my last bottle in Q4 2022 or Q1 2023.

March 16, 2021 - Prior bottle was 11 moths ago and this bottle I purposefully served a touch warmer than typical (61F) as an experiment. Nose showed white apple, a touch of background pear and white peach. Medium bodied and white apple upfront with some slightly brighter, more tart pear behind and then white peach trending towards softer, slightly yellow peach through the middle. This is backed by lemon, other citrus qualities, mineral notes and good acidity. As a result the mid-body peach never came off as sweet, but rather still quite dry but perhaps a touch softer and more open. Overall, I thought the wine shows a bit better chilled (55-57F) as the contrasts come across better and the fruit notes seem better defined. Still showing quite well and with the elements to hold this level for another year or so. I will probably open my next bottle in Fall 2021 and confirm.

September 12, 2020 - bright gold, with yellow highlights. This has notes of golden apple and tangerine, with an nice almond blossom overtone. This is brilliantly focused, with lime and tangerine flavors and a hint of nectarine. Again, bone dry, and that racy minerality lasts throughout the long finish.

June 16, 2020 - A high-toned note of apricot, red plum, raspberry and lemon. Trending towards full bodied, the mouth is round and fleshy with smooth, juicy acid that makes the mouth water. The acid is ever-present and just a bit streaky in places, coming on strong in the finish. The fruit-drive flavor profile includes tangerine, donut peach, green apple, lychee, white pepper-slate minerality and finishes on a strong Key Lime note. Very enjoyable now, I'm going to hold my remaining bottle for another 2-3 years and see how it develops.

April 21, 2020 - Prior bottle was just over six months ago and my notes were close to identical. Apple, pear and crunchy white peach on the nose. Medium bodied with white apple and pear upfront with a good mix of roundness and brightness. Mid-body continues to show good depth as well as improved integration. The peach notes come in, but blended well with the density which gives the wine a rounded, complete sense. Tart lemon along with earth and mineral on the backside through the finish. Acidity and fruit balance continue to improve, such that the mid-body feels expressive, but backed with acidity. Quite impressed with how this wine has come together and may open another bottle as soon as late Q4 2020 to take advantage. The wine has several years left, but it feels like peak will be over the next two.

February 16, 2020 - Deep yellow. Full bodied, fairly intense acidity balancing against sweetness and fruit, green apple, yellow stone fruit, mineral, citrus. I found the acidity tended to overwhelm the fruit, so as enjoyable as the rich and full body was, it did not linger with any special complexity. Drank over three nights, and second night was best. I preferred the Sawmill Creek of the same vintage, at least per my notes. That said, I'd rebuy both and having tasted them think a trip to Finger Lakes would be interesting.

October 17, 2019 - Prior bottle was only seven months ago and this wine continues to show well. Peach, apple and pear on the nose and noticeably less tropical than my prior bottle. medium bodied with pear and apple upfront initially, showing more peach as it warms. More richness through the middle along with white peach and background tropical notes. Retains the lemon and grapefruit notes towards the back and finishes with earthiness and mineral qualities. Perhaps served a bit on the cold side, but appears to be evolving away from the tropical and towards the whitefruit end of the spectrum. I'll plan to open my next bottle in Q1 2020 and confirm.

August 3, 2019 - Popped and poured on a summer evening.

Deep, rich golden color. Richer than I would have expected.

Loads of apple and apricot on the nose. Golden raisin. And is that a touch of clove?

On palate, wine is sound. Good acid, dry, round mouthfeel. Floral - perhaps irises - on finish. Overall a very pleasant wine! Acidity and pungency would need to be sharper for me to consider this the equal of Alsace rieslings, but still quite good.

March 5, 2019 - My first from bottle and most recently tasted at the winery eight and a half months ago. Peach, orange and mixed tropical qualities on the nose, mixed with background mineral notes. Opened at cellar temperature (54F) and warmed from there over the next two hours, showing more and more impressively over that time. Medium bodied with peach, orange and variety of tropical fruits upfront and through the mid-body. The middle demonstrates a lot of richness and more complexity than I recalled from prior bottles; especially as it warmed. Backside continues to show nicely blended tart notes of lemon and grapefruit, coupled with acidity and mineral qualities. Showing quite well at present and should continue to improve over the next 18-24 months as it integrates just a bit more. Should be able to last several additional years after that, but based on this bottle, the sweet spot will be 2019-2022. Next bottle for me might be as soon as June/July 2019.
