July 19, 2019 - This was an early look at what seems to be a potentially long-lived wine. The fruit and structure are properly balanced, and it already has some interesting meaty and earthy tones. On the palate it’s currently d9minated by deep red fruit. The additional flavors come through on the back end, along with a hint of bitterness. Hopefully that integrates over time.

January 20, 2019 - Decanted for just under 2 hours. Initially a subtle fruity flavor combined with minerals, earth, and a bit of wood. Over the next couple hours a very pleasant floral flavor evolved. Smooth despite the heavy presence of tannins with a medium to long finish. Held up very well the second day also. All in all a great wine that will be even better in a couple years.

October 11, 2018 - Dark purple and opaque with a transparent edge. Subtle dark fruit nose. The palate is more red fruit with a medium mouth feel and finish. Balanced acidity. More elegant than powerfully. Drinking well but clearly has legs. Drinking well. 5+12+16+8=91

April 18, 2018 - Darker purple black color (not sure what was different in last review), and definitely more sweet fruit but still unmistakable barnyard and funk which I find interesting quality over California, if you’re into that style. Medium tannin, med plus length.

January 30, 2018 - This was drinking smoothly with some backbone to it. Can drink wonderfully over the next 5-8 years. Will enjoy another one soon to compare it.
