Community Tasting Notes 1

January 28, 2007 - Parker was correct about this wine. The color was a deep brick which suggested quite a bit of age. The nose had scents of blackberries, casis and prune. The taste indicated that the wine was beyond its peak but still enjoyable. There was a hint of maderization. The fruit flavors consisted of ripe plums, blackberries and cassis with some prune/raisin. The flavors were starting to break up. We missed perfiection on the timing of drinking this bottle by three to five years.
