February 19, 2021 - From magnum. Medium yellow-gold with a slight hint of green. Sweet bread, a general sense of tropical fruit (banana, guava), lemon on the attack joined by lime at the mid palate and into a lengthy tropical fruit finish.

December 4, 2020 - 1st of 6 bottles, enjoyed with sushi this evening.
I adore the Champagnes of Marc Hebrart, and was excited to try this vintage SC. The wine is...thrilling.
Green apple, ripe grapefruit, chalky soil, warm bread crust, sage, wet rocks...quite complex, perhaps a bit generous, but paired famously with the sushi. The finish is quite long, slowly fading into some chalk, apple and honey flavors.

The fruit is solid and shows through nicely in spurts; mouthwatering at moments. The back end is slightly angular. Overall a pleasant drink. My last bottle. Drink now with a decant, or hold for a few more years.

January 19, 2020 - Pleasingly rich, but although the depth is there this comes across as semi-sweet and accordingly isn’t really my cup of tea for an aperitif champagne.
