July 4, 2018 - Purple in color. Nose of perfume and oak.
June 8, 2018 - Dark purple in color. Nose of raisin, vanilla, oak with floral tones. Flavor is rich with dark fruits, vanilla and raisin. Very smooth and heavy texture. Paired well with food (chicken paprikash and salad). Great QPR for $11!
April 20, 2018 - Lovely delicate fruit on nose, slight reduction
Pretty ruby flecked mulberry color
Medium body, mildly grippy tannins
Sweet vanilla overtones, I pick up blackberries, raspberry, slight Kirsch
Maybe a whiff of garrigue/olive
I think the wine is under-rated, I am giving it a solid 90 and would enjoy with friends
March 21, 2018 - Good value CdR. Spice, garrigue, dark fruit, earth, strong aromas, acidity. A bit forward in flavor, lacking true balance, but worth the $12-13, and a fine everyday red.
March 18, 2018 - I'd say this is pretty good QPR. Not too complex as prior notes state, but pure, medium to light, classic CdR.
December 19, 2017 - PnP. Cassis, strawberry and garrigue. Not much pepper, chalk or floral notes. Kinda thin but inoffensive. After an hour of air the tannins picked up some chalky grip.
August 18, 2017 - Could be bottle variation, but way too much VA for my taste.
July 29, 2017 - Definitely very good at the price. Good color and viscosity. Genuine garrigue, albeit soft and gentle, in the nose. Faint. Palate is a bit light in body, but has a nice spiced fruit element that is pleasant. This wine is an easy drinker, would make for a good house wine in a restaurant, or good, casual weekday wine. Nothing fancy, but well-made. 4-11-14-7: 86/100.
July 22, 2017 - Had at Harbinger with dinner.
March 2, 2017 - Always a good value, a nice easy red with decent complexity.
