February 18, 2024 - The wire-to-wire winner in a flight of three with 2016 Cos D'Estornel 94,94,95,95, 2016 Booker Ones Syrah 93,95,95,95. Scores around the table: 95, 97, 97, 97. A delicious Cab that held on all day while the others faded a bit. A full-throated Cab bursting with flavor. To catch up with the others, I poured it back and forth between two pitchers three times for aeration.

January 27, 2024 - Was looking forward to this as I haven't had a Quilceda creek in over a decade. This was still in a dark concentrated style--but didn't get any overripe or blueberry notes. Quite tannic, with a little coarseness to the texture. Long powerful finish. I enjoyed this much more than the samples from the mid '00's, seem more balanced and pushing the ripeness less.

December 17, 2023 - I thought this was a bit flat and closed down. Not sure why. Maybe because we had an Ovid along side the wine, which was way better. Who knows.
