September 28, 2018 - Too tart. Astringent when opened. Mellowed after an hour, but not what I thought I was buying.
July 5, 2018 - Grassy with lemon and grapefruit notes. On the acidic side. 87 points.
April 21, 2018 - Very grassy, classic aeromatic tropical smells, pretty good but probably not my favorite flavors
April 17, 2018 - Agree with wine30flight. Solid enough.
March 7, 2018 - Classic modern sauvignon blanc nose: racy minerality, lemon-lime, cantaloupe, white smoke, white pepper and just a hint of mint. The body strikes a crisp and lean profile, with nice acid and some grit offering a nice texture. Flavors touch on bitter lemon, apricot, white peach, buttered white bread toast and gravel.
November 18, 2017 - Tried this in the American Express Centurion Lounge at Philadelphia International Airport (PHL). Pretty typical classic Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough in the north of New Zealand's South Island, the Wairau River is a bit on the grassy side, with aggressive lemon citrus that settles into lychee. It's far more mellow at the front of the palate than in the back.
November 11, 2017 - Archetypal New Zealand SB. That says it all
November 10, 2017 - Keeps on hitting same notes, so when you want a NZ SB fix, go for it. If you want it a bit mellower, enjoy on day 2 and 3.
November 1, 2017 - Explosion of lime, grass and tropical notes... some mineral. a little over done for my tastes, but exciting.
NB. Much better on day 3. Rounder and better balance.. will save my other bottle for a year or two
September 26, 2017 - Crispy, crunchy and mineral still.
