January 7, 2024 - - Drinking very dryly, robust but with finer points.
    - Pale red /orange "brick" color. Medium to light on mid palette.
-Dove in firm, will it last?
    -"Red currant" and tobacco.
-Drinking more traditional and far more thinly than my previous Argiano which at the time I found drank much heavier.
    -Almonds? Light oak?
-This wine drinks rather brightly and has a pronounced pale oak presence.
    - Red currant morphing into bitter bruised strawberries.
    - Maybe rhubarb!
    - Seems a bit polished after 2 hours decanting although paired with food.
    - Was not expecting deeper strawberry fig and blueberry notes toward the end of the bottle
    - all of which became gracefully enveloped in sweet wet tobacco notes. Almost maple like. A highlight. 👌
    - All in all worthwhile.. not bad for an off-year!

October 1, 2021 - NOt my cup of tea. classic Italian wine, dusty, dry, little fruit. Could hardly stand up white pizza. Sangiovese CAN be lovely but it's rare - at least for the prices of top Brunello also

September 27, 2021 - 2014 Argiano Brunello di Montalcino ($44 in 2020). Light-mid ruby, brick edges; 13.5 alc.; light red fruit nose; some earth and wood; lligh-mid body; low acids and tannins; decent fruit; short-to-medium length red fruit finish. w/cannelloni. Not as rich as other vintages. 16 UC Davis scale, 90 other scales.
