November 6, 2020 - Melted gold. Creme brûlée nose. Thick and lip smacking good palate. Outstanding density. Quite new world and sunny yet at age 41 it still has some very nice lift. I am lucky to be drinking this.

September 7, 2015 - Renee's: Old apple, slight sour cider note but clearly not gone, but rather fresh and clean at first with good lift in not complex; got tired fairly quickly with stale notes, shrooms and a bit austere, short finish. The 1st 15 minutes were quite good though. amazing it held up this long--credit it to very good storage.

March 20, 1989 - Tasting of 4 Stony Hill Chardonnays at Primas. In those days, this was the ageing Chardonnay with a reputation better than Hanzell or Chateau Montelena by far.
    Very vanilla, grapefruit, great taste.
    My #4 of 4.
