April 21, 2024 - Popped and poured at fridge temp. A dark amber colour, with smoky honeyed tones on the nose. Very sweet on the palate, with burnt caramel. Could have a bit more acidity, but very nice in any case. Might work better with some really salty blue cheese instead of a sweet dessert.

January 21, 2022 - This time it was quite nice on its own. Pineapple, candied fruit, very sweet. Bottle was finished rather quickly. Still a bit more acidity would be nice. On the verge of being cloying.

June 19, 2021 - No formal notes. Just too sweet and not enough acidity.

November 28, 2020 - No formal notes. Very sweet and would be better with a little bit more acidity.

August 24, 2020 - Very expressive, intensive nose with a bouquet of tropical fruits. The palate follows, and is very sweet, bit syrupy and liqueuresque. However, the wine feels balanced and leaves a pleasant sensation of freshness. Classy, luxurious and noble wine.
I'm by no means experienced enough to evaluate this, and even less to rate it. With 92 I guess I'm not overshooting. But I'm tempted to give more...

    May 15, 2019 - 9% alcohol.

Medium-deep and very intense golden yellow color with a coppery core. Very intense and almost massively sweet nose with rich and heady aromas of mushroomy botrytis, wildhoney, some orange marmalade, a little bit of dried apricots and a hint of beeswax. The wine is broad, concentrated and intensely sweet on the palate with sticky and quite oily mouthfeel and bold flavors of apricot jam, canned pineapples, some orange marmalade, a little bit of honey, light mushroomy botrytis notes, a hint of cloudberry jam and a touch of fresh white peach. The wine feels only medium in acidity - it might be higher in reality, but the thick layer of residual sugar keeps the acidity well at bay and makes the wine feels quite heavy. The finish is sweet, sticky and powerful with intense, lengthy flavors of honey, pineapple juice, some fruit salad syrup, light fruity notes of white peach, a hint of mushroomy botrytis and a touch of tangerine marmalade. The cloying sweetness lends an almost burning feeling to the aftertaste.

An incredibly intense, concentrated and super-rich TBA with lots of layers and wonderful depth of flavor. Still very youthful in style, I can imagine this wine will not only keep but also develop a lot from here, if kept in a cellar. It's astounding how Lenz Moser can keep on making this massive powerhouse of a wine so consistently good, year after year. Exceptional value at 18,58€ for a half bottle.

March 28, 2018 - What can I say. The sweetest thing I have ever tasted. I can definitely recommend this wine a lot. I also heard a lot of praise for it this week when I had some with friends of mine.

December 15, 2017 - This is the bottle 2/2 from the patch I got earlier. It's still really good wine. The sweetest thing I have ever tasted. It's almost like drinking honey. One half-bottle has pretty amazingly 100 grams of sugar in it. So no wonder it's sweet.

April 9, 2017 - I bought this bottle some time ago to eat with some chocolate pudding with friends. I wanted to have some wine that is sweet and tastes good with desserts. I can say this was spot on. Fortunately I had friends there as drinking the whole bottle would be insane. Even a 375 ml bottle is much too much for me.
