January 9, 2024 - Holding up nicely. Some cherry and earth, good tannic grip. Medium bodied, pop and pour.

April 26, 2021 - Amending my review to say that after 4 days in the refrigerator, I returned to this wine, which I had first described as light red, even slightly brownish in color. It has held up well and is still very pleasant to drink and pair with flank steak. I am much more favorably disposed than I was on first tasting.

April 23, 2021 - If one closes one’s eyes and pretends to be dining alfresco on site near Mt Etna or Taormina, one could simply enjoy the simplicity and the pleasure of knowing you were dining in/near the terroir where the wine was produced. It loses some allure by being a bit thin, slightly reddish-brown in color and very far away from where the grapes were grown. This 2013 should have been drunk around 2018. Nevertheless, I did not throw it down the drain. The next question is - will I drink more of it tomorrow night....or...not.

September 6, 2020 - PnP. Very light ruby red with brown hues. Initially the nose was of an oxidized wine and the palate was devoid of fruit. I almost poured the wine down the drain. Two hours later, red fruit come forward on the nose with earth and spice notes, Raspberry and cherry on palate with some acidity on finish. Past it’s peak, but still very drinkable. I bought this wine at a retail store six days ago; perhaps the storage conditions may have accelerated aging.

February 24, 2019 - Agree with review of JasonG, although the finish has smoothed itself out now. Good, not great.
