July 17, 2023 - Dark for age , big leggs juicy green Apples
February 15, 2023 - Good if not inspirational. Sitting in an interesting place between youth and full maturity. Perhaps not an Yquem to chase.
January 22, 2023 - nice balanced sauterne. nice dark color. nose with flowers and citrus. long finish nice sweetness not too dominant.
January 22, 2023 - Everything in place. Fresh, beautiful botrytis, balanced, supported by acids, top!
November 6, 2022 - The 2000 Challenge, part II (Jerar restaurant): Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon, 42 months in oak, 128gr RS, 25000 btl (usually its 130000), open 14.00

The wine shows deep golden color
In the nose, the wine shows high intensity, overripe tropical fruit, stone fruit, peach, apricot, floral notes, honey, syrup, yeast notes, grape marmalade, light spice.
In the palate, the wine feels luscious, full body, nice acidity, stone fruit, apricot, nectarine, peach and yeast again, pastry, honey and syrup notes in the long finish.
If you want to be disgustingly (as Blackadder used to say) clinical, the wine is also a bit rough, with some alcohol heat, its not the finest of Yquem’s vintages and it shows.
But screw it, its Yquem and its outstanding !
March 31, 2022 - Beautiful nose apricots honey delicious with foie gras with Dan and Ellen . Sadly only bottle
January 26, 2022 - Ready to go. Expressive nose of apricot, vanilla, crème brulee and lavender. Full and generous in the mouth, with good detail and silky texture. Acidity is moderate and length good.
December 31, 2021 - Intense and expressive with distinct notes of honey, apricot and candied orange peel. The finish has a nutty character/taste that goes deep on the palate. While not as explosive as some other vintages, this is quite delicious and fun to drink.
September 17, 2021 - Bordeaux 2000 Horizontal (KOGS): A decent sauternes but for me it lacked depth, concentration and botrytis. When revealed, I was slightly disappointed.
July 31, 2021 - Finished summer evening with this to celebrate mother's 80th. Lots of fruit, nuts and umami coming from the balanced acidity. Flavours of mandarin, apricot, then the vanilla, lightly grilled notes associated with the long élevage in barrel. The latter more nuttier and subtle flavours were not as present in this vintage as in others, but that first burst in the mouth is unique to Yquem.
