June 20, 2022 - Deep nose of lemon oils, marmalade, apricot/summer peaches with green tea/herbal qualities that quickly broaden the aromatic spectrum. The minty herbs in the form of Tarragon and some ginger notes with a mustard seed top note. Ample, rich but with no heaviness or alcohol. Everyone commented on the spiciness of this wine; almost white pepper-like in its tactile experience that seem to drag the midpalate on slowly to the finish and then resurfaces with a peacock tail “pop” at the end. Serious stuff. Generously opened by one in the group!

June 19, 2022 - My 4th or 5th go with this wine. Full golden color; despite my worries that this would be further “down the other side of the hill”, this showed well. Riper, mature white burgundy character with spearmint and tarragon notes; this has really fattened up, very rich (at the expense of the piercing minerality, extract and acidity of its younger days). Still very layered and complex, fragrant spices emerge from mid-palate through the long finish. While truly excellent, my fellow tasters liked it more. I preferred it more in its earlier days.

July 17, 2020 - Excellent bottle, fresh, lively, and clean. Reductive and distinct Montrachet richness and intensity. Vastly superior to the bottle from the same case a few months ago. Dense, long, powerful, very impressed with the caliber here, have never had a Marquis de Laguiche this good.
