January 31, 2022 - I like this wine, but can see where it wouldn't be for everyone. It is definitely not for Cali cab drinkers. It takes a long time to open up, the fruit notes are fairly mild. There is balance between fruit, tannins, and acidity. Oaky and root notes mid-palate and vegetal/herby notes on the finish.
March 25, 2020 - This wine was quite good. I was concerned based on earlier ratings. Maybe just needed some time in the bottle.
February 26, 2020 - Full bodied, Nice tannins was delicious
November 22, 2019 - Very expressive, well balanced and integrated. Definitely a food wine, smooth and not overpowering so will complement a wide range of foods.
October 19, 2018 - Nice tanins. Full body, more than other duoro wines. Nicely paired with Portuguese porco pretto
May 28, 2018 - Not one of Xito’s better wines. Balanced, smooth, soft, not memorable. Ok wine but not at $20.
May 5, 2018 - PnP, with generic blue fruit and some heat on the nose. Lacks expression on the palate, with a touch of plum and blueberry. Should be $8, not $20.
April 18, 2018 - Very smooth, excellent taste ... buy more !
March 1, 2018 - Fruity, licorice and plum flavors. Very nice wine. Went well with grilled rosemary pork. Definitely will purchase again!
