Community Tasting Notes 3

  • CDStrombom Does not like this wine: 80 points

February 23, 2011 - Earthy. Very earthy. There was no fruit presence at all. Fairly coarse tannins, with a chalk and earth component noticeable throughout. Disappointing; not sure if it was the vintage (a tricky one throughout much of Europe), the vintner or the grape varietal, but this wine did not impress.

May 9, 2008 - Very dark red color. Aroma seems slighlty medicinal in nature to me.

September 28, 2006 - Dark red, almost black. Aroma of toast and dark fruit. No distinguising characteristics but inoffensive.
