July 10, 2021 - Boulder Burgundy Festival 2019 with Adam M ~ Super taaaasty! ~ Has some very interesting notes along the lines of prickliness from some pepper

March 3, 2021 - Opened and allowed to sit for thirty minutes or so before dinner. After reading some other notes, I'm wondering if I'm drinking a different wine as I get loads of baking spice on the nose and palate here. Plenty of red fruits, and Mrs. TLV felt it was reminiscent of a WesMar Oehlman on the nose.

February 4, 2021 - Wonderful bottle of Pinot - intensely aromatic, and with tons of depth despite its lightness. Sour cherry, cherry compote, a creaminess, but so deft and bright and floral, and finishing with a tangy flourish. Smashed it!

October 26, 2020 - Just starting the drinking window. Excellent floral and spice nose. Precise layers on the palate -- fruit, cloves, herbs, cream. Great finish.

April 6, 2020 - {First bottle of case; perfect fill; PopNPour then decanted} Translucent slight color. 1st night seemed very tight and reticent. 2nd day at noon - much more flavor, very Pinote, stony wine, longer finish. Comes across as refined and almost delicate but with excellent flavor set. A keeper! I think with time this will end up ranking a few points higher than today's 90.

(Guillemot Savigny-les-Beaune 1er Cru Les Serpentieres) Hello friends. Today we have another in our year-ending Instant Gratification series of offers. These all contain wines that are in the warehouse and ready for immediate pickup post-allocation (allocations will take place tomorrow at 10am). We have two more pickup weekends in 2018 (Dec 13-15, Dec 20-22), then our usual two-week holiday closure. Our first open pickup weekend in 2019 will be Jan 10-12. Back in October, we tasted through the lineup of 2015s from Guillemot, one of Kermit Lynch’s prized Burgundy producers. Our favorites came from opposite ends of the price spectrum: one an entry-level Bourgogne Rouge; the other a flagship premier cru, both punching above their normal class thanks in part to the epic 2015 vintage. Both were also in short supply, so we went ahead and purchased the entire lot of both wines, securing a solid holiday Burg opportunity for our list members, for drinking or gifting. Or both. Here’s a special wine, from a 1.7-hectare plot of Les Serpentieres on marl soil, the vines 55 years old. It gets a little more new wood than the Bourgogne, still only 10% of the total, and is otherwise treated the same. Listed alc is 13%, and while this shares many of the aromatic features of the Bourgogne (red fruit and flower and mineral), the palate (and especially the texture) is completely different, with notable intensity, deeply attractive silkiness, and sneaky fine-grained tannin. This is one for the cellar. Wine Advocate: Copyrighted material withheld.
