September 29, 2019 - Clean smooth wine as you open the bottle. Fruit is even and light. It went into too many glasses to note what would happen on a decant and whether the wine would develop further. This is really a terrific BdM.

September 16, 2019 - Aromas of cherries, dried herbs, forest floor and sweet spices. Lush and full in the palate. This wine is light on its feet but powerful at the same time. On the palate, there is plenty of red fruit - cherries, raspberries and touch of cranberries- with well integrated tannins. Fresh with nice acidity and a grip that finishes long. Drinking great now, but will age gracefully for another 15 years.

September 9, 2019 - This was quite powerful and with nice acidity. Starting to be approachable now but really one to hide away for a few more years when it will show better. The power is quite prominent right now. I think I prefer the '12 vintage to most '13s.

July 15, 2019 - I wanted to post the most recent note on this wine. The wine is not what it was. Perhaps it has hit a phase in its life (I have 8 more to test this) but I think the wine does not appear to have the gusto to perform.

Mild aromatics of cherry and asphalt. On the pallete the wine is unbalanced with acidity dominating the fruit. Though both are light, I don't get the shift from the fruit laden spirited new world red I had 12 months ago.

I want to think otherwise but don't see that in what I am having right now. The wine now is weak, thin and lacking viscosity. I will report back in 12 months. All that said it is still a 91 and better than most.
