November 30, 2023 - Tasted blind after it was open for several hours. Heavy oak dominated the nose and was hard to find the fruit underneath. The malbec gave it a little sweetness. Oak monsters will love this wine.

February 4, 2023 - Cherry and raspberry predominates. Smooth and well rounded. The addition of Malbec to the classic Cab and Merlot blend adds complexity.

October 8, 2022 - Tasting: The Wine Society Museum Reds. Ruby red with a dark core. Huge aromas of cassis - black and blue fruits - maybe a touch spirity - there’s a hint of boiled sweets in there too. The palate is concentrated and intense. It’s luxurious in texture but not over the top - feels well-balanced. Layers of pure fruit with coffee and a touch of creamy oak on the long finish. It’s a really good wine, just not quite a style I prefer.

October 7, 2022 - Deep purple opaque. Nose oak but masked by tainted glass. Full body, medium tannin, dark fruit, oak, menthol . Long finish quite ripe. Maybe tastes better than it drinks?

September 28, 2022 - Hmm. Quite silky and soft. Like being wrapped in alpaca wool. A bit smelly - rubbery, smoky. Burnt sugar - crème caramel. A bit metallic and irony. Uncertain what to make of this.
