January 24, 2024 - Super Bourgogne. Ruby color and full of cherry fruit. A touch floral yet also savory. Packs a good punch. It’s pretty with a slightly grainy finish. Pure. Delicious. Not the most complex but I would be happy to have this on the table frequently. Would love to still be able to purchase wines like this sub $30 but I am afraid those days are gone. (89)

December 26, 2023 - I opened 3 2015 Bourgognes…. This, Lignier and Meo… this was the least impressive by 4 of us, by a large margin.
None of the typical ripeness I expect from ‘15s. Maybe they picked too early? Vines too young?
    Anyway - was very Meh

February 26, 2023 - This wine has been drinking well for a while. The latest bottle has a curious dominant VA feel to it but with a lovely wine underneath. Combination of producer and vintage lend to a red fruited wine with a juicy feel. Not too much complexity but a top Bourgogne with plenty of time in hand.

November 12, 2022 - This is really terrific Bourgogne. Warm wine that is bursting with cherry fruit and spice on the nose. The palate is medium bodied yet full of flavor. Not complex but round and generous. Delicious and happy without being serious. Not for critical drink but who cares. Yum. (89)

August 27, 2022 - Floral and clean nose, still quite expressive. But on the palate, this is probably in the process of shutting down or awkward phase. Red fruits, slightly lean and stemmy. Showing relatively high acidity. A little grumpy today. Time to let the remaining bottles rest for a while.

August 14, 2022 - Fresh nose of spice, raspberries, cherries and violets. Delicate and light footed. Still a solid achievement at this level, clearly the warm vintage has given this Bourgogne Rouge more punch all over. In fact this was best on day 2, a rare situation for a Burgundy at this level.

July 3, 2022 - In contrast to the Vigot, this was delicious. Fullish, sweet pinot with medium body and decent transparency. Spot on right now. (88)

March 20, 2022 - I don't know how this bottle was stored prior to my possession but ullage was spot on, cork was without flaw, and the label in perfect condition. Fruit was starting to fade and tannins reserved. Nice balance at this time, good all around. Nothing profound. Solid QPR. Will not get any better. Enjoy now.

January 26, 2022 - PnP. ABV 12%. Last bottle was just a couple of months back, judging by how frequently I opened this wine should tell you how much I liked the wine. One of the real bargain of the ‘15 vintage, £13/b in bond, can’t beat this for value. Expressive floral nose, wide open at the moment. Crunchy red fruits with some spices lingering at finish. Neither deep nor complex, just good balance, unassuming, and delicious. Good now so why bother to wait? But this is capable of aging for a few more years. Sipping this while listening to “Bobby Jean” by Springsteen, clearly one the most underrated song by the Boss. Everyone has had a Bobby Jean in life.

“ Well maybe you'll be out there on that road somewhere
In some bus or train traveling along
In some motel room there'll be a radio playing
And you'll hear me sing this song
Well if you do, you'll know I'm thinking of you
And all the miles in between
And I'm just calling one last time, not to change your mind
But just to say "I miss you baby. Good luck. Goodbye, Bobby Jean"”
