January 14, 2024 - bigger and texturally driven. not oak flavored, but oake textured with oxidation giving it life now but maybe not for long term ageing. ready to go!

November 10, 2023 - Three years since the last bottle, and still a 'big' Champagne. Really lactic on opening, then increasingly taut and malic, though the creme pat and brioche vibe did persist (thankfully - it was delicious). A lovely wine.

March 15, 2022 - Rich nose of tarte tatin. The palate is concentrated and supported with enough acidity to frame it. Ripe green apples, pastry and flowers.

June 19, 2021 - Such a full and expressive nose with notes of lemon, grapefruit, apple, acacia, brioche, and honey snap biscuit. There is something herbal, fennel? anis vert? It is dry with terrific acidity, entirely in balance. The primary fruit flavours balance beautifully with the lovely lees notes, like apple danish! This is outstanding - so much complexity and flavour intensity, and a finish that goes on and on.

November 26, 2020 - Lite för kall i första glaset men tod sig väldigt bra med lite tid och temperatur. Pigga bubblor och mycket smak av fräscha äpplen.

November 19, 2020 - Once again, a really tasty Champagne. This bottle feels less advanced than the prior ones, to my surprise; there's still plenty of autolysis but I found this bottle to show more citrus and bitter herbs as well as the volatile, bready notes. Still doesn't show like any other 2008 I've tried though.

    April 25, 2020 - not blind
In the beginning a bit baroque in nose and palate. Some brioche and berries, and too sweet in the finish. For 2008 too low fun factor. I missed the cracking and balancing acidity. After two hours more focused. I prefer Delphine's L'Ancienne. It is more extracted and more important despite the power leaner and more precise. 90-91

April 24, 2020 - Once again a very rich Champagne with lots of autolytic notes. Strong match for chicken with mushroom cream sauce. Very drinkable, feels at peak rather than one for the long-haul.

January 27, 2020 - 2008 Fizz n Chips (Masters Superfish): At the richer end of Champagne, especially for a 2008 at this stage of its development; perhaps this reflects the fact this Champagne is aged in oak. Lots of yeastiness, with a note of Marmite coming through at one point.

Really tasty at first but became a bit flabby as it warmed up. One to enjoy sooner than some other 2008s.

January 20, 2020 - Wanted to like this, but there's no balance here. Simultaneously thin, razor sharp acid, and yet oxidative and advanced. Not flawed, but not a good bottle. Unclear to me if it's the bottle, the wine, or that maybe? it was sitting on the shelf at the store for a little too long. Won't be looking into it any deeper than this. Jan 2017 disgorgement, so by all means should have had more flavor. 88 points?
