February 2, 2019 - Pale golden color softened by busy swirling bubbles.

The bubbles last in the glass until it is empty.

Inviting nose contains aromas of citrus fruit, pears, etc.

Medium body of similar fruit flavors, although less tart than the aromas would suggest. Crisp flavors from acid, but an overall smoothness makes it easy to drink the second bottle which we did with help from friends.

Been a fan of DC for years and this wine is one of the reasons why.

    November 24, 2018 - Champagne & Sparkling Tasting (San Diego Wine Co.): 62% P.N., 35% Chard, & 3% Pinot Gris; Aged in the bottle for 3-1/2 yrs sur lie; 12% ABV, 0.9% g/L dosage, 0.7g/100ml T.A., & 3.1 pH; 24,000 cs

    N: Yeast, minerals

P: Med body; RNDISH entry with NICE, almost swtish frt met by brisk acidity which morphs into a LONG, tangy/swt finish with just a bit of very, VERY slight bitterness. Pleasant enough, & with the cut/acidity to accompany food. Drink now & for the ff 3yrs, + could still improve for another 6 mos or so. My VG+/EXC-. 93 pts WS. [This vendor's $25.99 puts it in the top quartile of wine-searcher's postings.]

October 19, 2018 - Fairly generic on all accounts, at $30 there’s other things to try. Light color, bruised red apple nose, not too sweet but would do better with a bit more dry toast.

July 30, 2018 - Episode Four of Care About Monday’s. We paired this with an Oreo and cookies and cream stuffed donut from Safeway.

Light and tiny bubbles as well as medium pale yellow. Golden apples on the nose with a touch of yeast and minerality. Medium acidity (5.5/10) and light plus bodied. Green apples, brioche and chalky gravel on the palate. Medium plus finish. Drink till 2022.

July 21, 2018 - I don't think I've ever been let down by a Domaine Carneros vintage brut and the 2014 follows suit. There's lifted and precise aromas of orchard fruit, lemon cream pie, and a whiff of caramel. Bright and nervy in the mouth, this shows tremendous focus, drive, and freshness. Green apple, citrus, and brook stone flavors are laced with flashes of salinity and segue into a palate cleansing finish. Lovely all around.
