July 4, 2023 - W smoked duck hash. Paul Rankin visiting. Pretty good wine with life left. Good color and nose. Had it next to the Bernardus Signature - which was surprisingly very vanilla. Paul also brought New jersey wine blind - not bad.

April 2, 2023 - For Adam's birthday, so was super busy playing with the kids and tending to hosting duties. So note not very detailed.
PnP'd. Complex but with low acid and slight green notes. Brother-in-law said this was in his wheelhouse, citing it was probably a fruit bomb at birth but has rounded out since.
I feel it improved with some air. Def has a few years. Next time would give it a good hour of aeration before serving. -

September 9, 2022 - Nicely balanced - The fruit remains full and forward. Dark cherry. The tannins have softened. I had it with a Manchego cheese followed by a rare steak and it complimented both.

September 2, 2022 - Beautiful dark purple color, but still has some opaqueness. Nose has some immediate heat, then drifts into blueberries and ripe raspberries with hints of dark chocolates and smokey cedar. Not too jammy on taste, light tannins until the very back end. Very fruit forward that stays fairly consistent throughout; plums, mixed berries, black licorice, light vanilla and very subtle earthy mushroom. Tannins and black pepper spice arrives on back of palate.
