January 5, 2024 - 30 minutes: Not getting as much as the nice fruit as last notes. The fruit and nose have a heavy barnyard element. Herbs and fennel still present.

December 31, 2023 - Extremely enjoyable and only opened because I saw a post from Adam Lee of Siduri fame of having dinner with David Ramey of Ramey…the drank a Ramey Chardonnay, Roar Pinot, and this Petite! Decanted and let breath for two hours. Very elegant but still very big and young…best with food. Nose was a strong blueberry right out of the bottle but mellowed considerably by the time we started drinking and was a light blackberry. Flavors were primarily raspberry, cola, and blackberry. This has an easy 10-years to go in the cellar.

April 8, 2023 - Rich blueberry compote and currant, oregano, licorice nib, leather. Notes of fennel? A very solid wine and holding quite well, just not my style.

October 1, 2022 - 3 hour decant. Opened beautifully. Black cherry, big fruit, pepper, leather. Long finish. Paired perfectly with Elk.

July 31, 2022 - Improved from 9 months. Still a youthful deep ruby-purple color. Aromas are subdued but the big fruit is there. Tannins noticeable but well integrated and do not detract. Quite drinkable now with some air but not fully mature.
