November 12, 2019 - For some reason, I decided to put this in one of Riedel's new Pinot Noir glasses, one of those "ribbed for your pleasure" deals, nice glasses, but kinda weird, and I'd probably rather have a Zalto, but anyway, for some reason I put this zippy Margies Cab in a Pinot glass, and it became the most violety Cabernet Sauvignon I can recall. Like someone threw some Mammolo, Sciacarellu, or Touriga Nacional in the mix.... delectable... the big Pinot glass made it smell just a touch more boozy than a smaller glass would, but it can handle it, and it's just a wondrous little Cab anyway, tons of tart dark fruit, herbs, leaves, flowers, veggies... almost jammy and sweet in the nose, butsuper tart on the palate. Very fresh and lively for a fully ripe Cab, it is a bit straightforward, strident and blowsy, but it has an honest and upfront personality that is very refreshing. This was consumed next to a delicious unsulfured young Beaujolais and it more than held its own in the freshness department. There is a really distinctively Margeret River character to this wine ❤️❤️❤️

October 4, 2019 - Tasted at Auriol dinner, Hampshire, UK, featuring Vasse Felix wines. Served to accompany lamb shanks. Colour is dark Burgundian. Nose is dusty, flint. Palate is rich, cherries, marzipan, sloes, hint of Christmas cake. Made to be drunk fairly young. Ready now, so don't keep. This is good value for money.

October 3, 2019 - Have read many good reviews on Vasse Felix over the last few years so had high hopes for this bottle of Australian Cab. Seems disjointed where the whole is less than the parts. Little on the green side, herby, prune like, slightly thin black fruit and yet it seems like it might come together in a few years.

August 3, 2019 - Bu en Succ lors des nouveaux arrivages.
Herbes et poivrons surtout. Mures, cassis et anis avec
    une petite touche de vanille.
    Tanins charnus et assez long.

    April 25, 2019 - 14% abv. Screwcap.
As others have noted, there is a prominent green, herbal streak to this. It's also got some ripe notes as well, so not completely old world tasting. Certainly doesn't remind me of Bordeaux. And completely different from Napa-style Cabs, as this has little or no oak and is not "polished" at all. Good balancing acidity as well. I actually found this to be very enjoyable and interesting, and I appreciate the pure style of this Cabernet. Excellent focused mouthfeel as well. That said, lovers of the Napa style will probably not like this at all (I find the style enjoyable but boring). Very well made and high quality for $20. I'll have to be on the lookout for more Margaret River wines.
