August 6, 2019 - First of 6 from a recent auction lot at about $24@. Opened about 45 minutes before drinking, no decant. Muted nose of ripe pears and sweet apples. Consistent tasting notes with a touch of caramel and honey. Golden colored, medium to full bodied, light legs; light to moderate acidity. The tasting notes and light acidity give this a lush, creamy and slightly sweet mouthfeel. Despite this, the wine doesn't across as flabby, although I think it may be better as a standalone sipper than as a complement to food. Probably best consumed in the next 18-24 months. Really good qpr at this price. 90-91

Update: this wine is at least as good on night 4, sans coravin, as night 1so any concerns that this needs to be consumed asap seem misplaced.

April 7, 2019 - Consistent with previous bottles with a bit of butterscotch on the palate this time. Lack of vibrant acid is hurting my impression of this wine. I would drink up if holding any.

November 3, 2018 - See previous notes. As good as Failla’s higher priced signal vineyard Chardonnays. Lemon curd with a nice flush of acidity. Fabulous wine.

October 28, 2018 - Medium lemon color. Nose of golden apple, white florals, honeysuckle and citrus with just a bit of marshmallow. Similar flavors on the palate with mostly orchard and citrus fruit. Medium acid, smooth and slightly creamy mouthfeel. Very nice chardonnay but could use a touch more acid to make it pop a bit. Paired well with shrimp and grits.
