November 17, 2019 - medium ruby color. On the nose aromas of red cherries, wet stone, flint, red currants, toast. On the palate the wine is dry with medium acidity, medium plus fine tannins, medium alcohol, medium finish of cocoa and red fruit. Flavors on the palate of cherry yogurt, minerality, toast, dusty cocoa. More and more I enjoy Mencia, but it is not for everyone. This one is well balanced with some complexity with primary fruit, some minerality and some secondary flavors of oak. The wine is good and probably can be held another 3 yrs.

June 16, 2019 - Worst Mencia I ever drunk.....and I had a few.......Black eye on a varietal I like......Raoul Perez should declassified it and sell as bulk not to discredit that lovely varietal

    November 11, 2018 - My first taste of a Mencia-based wine.
This was very enjoyable, with mouth-filling, ripe and rich fruit. On the simple side, perhaps a bit over-ripe. There was a hint of brett too, but I'm pretty sensitive so most may not notice it.
    Very good value at $12.

October 26, 2018 - Good midweek sipper. Not especially complex, but it's a quaffable, delicious and pleasing wine. Drink now. Cool it down a bit before serving; was nice at cellar temp - not as much so at room temp.
