    October 20, 2019 - Signed Magnum purchased at the winery, cellared at 54° since purchase. Clearly past its peak, still with the classic silver oak vanilla with some remaining fading fruit.

    October 14, 2019 - Over the hill. Bricky and most of the fruit was gone.
    I expected more from a Mag.

    June 14, 2019 - Very weak and disappointing! Expected much more!

    May 26, 2019 - Medium ruby garnet in color, slightly cloudy with bricking & clearing at the edges. Full, fragrant & attractive nose of ripe fruit aromas of strawberries, berries & dried figs/prunes with overtones of vanilla, some tobacco/leather, spices, dill weed, minerals & toasty oak. Medium bodied with a good concentration of balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of strawberries, currants & plums with spices, herbs, minerals & vanilla/oak. Lingering finish. Drinks well at present but at 24 years of age it appears to be past its peak of development, so drink up!

    N: LOVELY! LOTS there, but I couldn't parse out any 1 INDIVIDUAL aspect;

    P: Med body; NICE, ALMOST swtish frt firmed by an astringent pucker which, without losing touch with the init frt, firmed by an astringent pucker which, without losing touch with the init frt, SEAMLESSLY evolves into a very LONG, beautifully BALANCED finish with an elegant swtness to the firming, dusty tannins. Drinking PERFECTLY right now, & should hold through '22, I'd guess. My Exceptional-; 94 pts WA, 92 WS, & 88 Tanzer. [This vendor's $94.95 puts it in the top 1/3 of wine-searcher's remaining listings.]

    Note: From the same bottle as Vinnut on 5/26.
