April 5, 2024 - Needed 45 mins and a quick chill to open up into wild mushroom and a bit of blackberry. Five hours later and it was fading (possibly needed that quick chill again). Capricious!

September 1, 2023 - More mushroom developed in the glass over an hour or so. Still weighty and fruity.

July 11, 2020 - Really ripe red fruit, summer pudding. Full and dense on the palate with umami notes and a whiff of cherry stone. Probably too young but interesting and so enjoyable now, my 4th bottle from a case of 12 and I don't seem able to stay away.

January 13, 2020 - I think it may just be too early to have this. Really full-bodied pinot. Tasted like a cab in many ways with blackberry notes, etc. Missing the charm, nose, etc of my favorite pinots, but maybe this is just too wound up and tight at this point. Opened up a bit after a couple hours in the decanter, but still not what I expected. Definitely can age though, lots of tannins, tightness that can use some mellowing.

November 3, 2019 - Bloody on the nose, ferrous and shitake mushrooms on the palate, even a hint of soy. Plenty of stuffing but drinkable and interesting now. Glad to have the case.

March 16, 2019 - Very ripe. Sweet black fruits, beetroot earthiness, neither sugary nor fresh. enjoyable now. Lots of fine tannins remain, ripe and lovely and good sign for the future though not sure about the lack of perceived acid.
