September 29, 2019 - These didn’t last long, really pretty nose of red florals, spice, dark red berries, elegant palate for such a young barolo, with lots of acidity integrated tannins and a good medium plus length finish

September 13, 2019 - Medium red with slightly brown hue; licorice, black pepper; pleasant, light, fresh, lots of light red berries, some bit to it with mild tannins; may improve with more air and/or time, but already now pleasant to drink

May 21, 2019 - I was offered two glasses of this at a business lunch. Totally closed initially with prominent acidity and tannins that leave a firm footprint. After about 90 minutes towards the end of the meal the nose is still very tight but on the palate I found a much more elegant wine of real precision and class. Medium in body with a fruit profile that leans towards the red berry fruit spectrum, the Barolo Castiglione 2013 has all the right elements for a good to very good future in 7 – 10 years down the road. 90++

April 30, 2019 - Drunk over two days, opened on the 29., but for me too young, biting acid, unresolved tannin, very fresh, some sour cherry, meaty, on day two this one is for me, still very savoury fruit, but typical, great tension on the midpalate, would not call this silky today, there is no other way to get a great wine result to let the bottles mature in your cellar, decent decant will help, but this is not the same, I do expect a far better showing in 10+ years, **(**-?)

February 20, 2019 - It was tight. Started to open after an hour. Still liked it. Lighter, more like a Produttori del Barbaresco. Nice tannins. I would certainly give it more time.
