March 18, 2024 - Medium bright red; lightly spiced, some licorice; light elegant attack, followed by a medium refined body, aftertaste is long and spiced, quite some acidity throughout which however is not disturbing rather pleasant, being held up with nice fruit; quite some tannins; really nice, like it

January 14, 2024 - It needs at least 2 hours of aeration. Muscular tanins, crisp acidity, really fresh with at least 10 years of life ahead. Menthol is obvious but unfortunately this is not the case for the fruits also. A slight touch of plum and red berries, not enough to be satisfied. Medium to long finish. All in all, good enough for an entry level barolo. Second day was better.

December 20, 2023 - Pas de note précise, mais acidité très élevée, tanins assez présents et le vin reste plutôt fermé sur 3 h en carafe.
Encore très jeune, 3-5 ans avant la prochaine.

November 18, 2023 - Medium to full body, 14% abv, transparent cherry colour. Intense aroma of red fruits, flowers, cedar tar, mushrooms and forest floor background. Dominant strawberry and red currants palate following by muscular tannins, juicy acidity and long finish. Rich and complex but elegant and balanced wine. Food friendly, well pairing to ali di pollo alla griglia. Ready, open one hour ahead. Serve 18ºC - 20ºC. Drink now and for next 10/12 years, perhaps longer.

July 24, 2023 - A vibrant crimson color with nice transparency. On the nose this continued to evolve over a few hours in the glass. Red cherry, roses, plum, earth, some spices. Wonderful nose. On the palate this was quite energetic and powerful with concentrated red cherry and berry fruits and high but balanced acidity and tannins. A bit chewy with dry extract on the mid palate. Lovely texture along the long and delicious finish. Great stuff and drinking well now.

March 17, 2023 - Drop dead gorgeously velvet purple Rich and savory aromas. Lavender, earth and just ripe tiny berries Some truffle. Dried roses to go with blackberry and earth. Super fresh and lovely. Chewy texture. Very long and even finish Given the strong tannic presence guessing we are just at the beginning of the drinking window at age 10.

February 5, 2023 - Opened but not decanted several hours in advance. The character is of mature dark plum and a bit of spice with sandy tannins, but to me at least not much else. All knit together rather nicely, but I really wanted a bit more aromatic complexity.

December 19, 2022 - 2 hour decant before dinner (lasagna). About 2 hours later into dinner this started to blossom. Very pronunced floral nose, tannins a little dry and dusty but the fruit is starting to emerge. Will still wait another year to try the next. I expect this to be much better then.

December 11, 2022 - Red cherry, red berries, iron, leather and spice notes on the nose. Between medium and full bodied (14% ABV) with red cherry upfront, shading into light black cherry through the middle. Mid-body shows both good depth and good fruit expression. Plum comes in on the backside along with tannins, acidity, tart red cherry and strawberry. Good length on the finish with some lingering fruit notes and mineral qualities. The mid-body is the star at present with very good balance and pretty fruit qualities which are well supported. This is no pop-and-pour, but then I wouldn't want a barolo that was. Takes about 2 hours to open up and improves over the course of four hours total. It has both the fruit and structure to continue to improve and I'll plan to open my next bottle in Fall 2023.
