June 12, 2019 - Five winos excellent adventure , mostly in Burgundy; 6/7/2019-6/15/2019 (Beaune, France): Medium expressive nose displaying ripe black fruit, fresh blackberry, blackberry liqueur, black cherry, spicy spices, smoke meat and limestone. Very good concentration, nicely layered concentrated black fruit, round, warm and silky, good acidity, earthy mineral, fine tannins and a long perfectly ripe black fruit driven finish. Although built to age, generous ripe fruit makes this enjoyable and approachable.

April 11, 2018 - First of a case (to test in its youth), and this was a success... reminded me of a more full bodied version of Montille Taillepied, with red fruit that sat between bright and dark, with serious depth of material, just a hint of spice (as this was very primary / full / rich), and really good acid to allow for aging and to balance the body... not typical for me to say a wine was full'ish bodied and yet bright and high-toned, but this wine is... should be great in 10-20 years (if I can hold off on drinking 'em)

January 5, 2018 - Visit to Faiveley - Vintage 2015 (Nuits St.Georges): Crunchy red fruit, lively, good structure and mid mouth volume. Great wine. Better than any other vintage I had. Give this cellar time till 2022 though. 94+
